138484I'm quite new here. I'm 18 years old and I've been drawing for most of those but I lost interest in fine art a few years ago and headed towards comic book style drawings. Now I've decided to go back and improve as much as I can. I'm self taught, but used books to help with my Comic drawings.
I'll skip dumping all the old crap torn out of my sketchbook and start with recent stuff. I did these last night.
http://i5.tinypic.com/6cnny3c.jpg
Actually most of my drawings are done after midnight lol
Here's my first SP in ages.
http://i6.tinypic.com/6g9a26r.jpg
This was from a few weeks ago, it's more comic book as you can see, no referance for this one. http://i4.tinypic.com/4ygdb4n.jpg
C&C please, I'll post regularly, every day if I can.
Thanks ^^

So Im' trying to do at least one drawing a day. That means forcing myself to draw even when I'm totally un-inspired. Here's today's outcomes:
... oh dear.
a line drawing of my shoe (done on the train so some lines are a bit wobbly).
http://i3.tinypic.com/5z3t34z.jpg
And a few sketches, the sleeping man woke up as I was drawing him so I didn't get to finish it :(

Whew! just finished the first comission picture. Here's the result. It's Bozzy for Battle Royale. I'm worried it's a little too much like Shinkawa's work but meh.

Nice work dude. I like the last one. Where do you go to get Commission work? 'cause I'de like to start doing stuff like that.
Oh and the pic of your girlfriend is good but there's no definition for her boobs and the right arm looks out of place.

It made me laugh. Good first digital too. Arms on Mr Clown (is it Ronald McDonald?) look odd but if it's just a joke pic then it ain't needin' no serious critique.

Cool sketches dude, I like that face-sketch of the guy with short hair but the left side of the MGSgirlyguyface is dodgy though. Never heard of one of them pens O.o. interesting though, what they like? I'm waitin' on some Col-erase blue pencils, I don't like grey, it's a boring colour.
Can't wait for the big piece, I'll keep checking back.

I like that, I ain't done no group work before. How long? What with? Gimme the details. =)
Hmm, some of the kids standing up at the back, their heads look a little big. Lmao that bald kid on the left makes me laugh. It looks like a class photo, if not then it does have the look of a class photo. You've got clothes/creases nailed on this. Awesome stuff.
Ta for checkin' in on my SB btw.
PS how do ye get your Sketchbook link to say that? lol =)
Oh and, and the difference is, Col-erase aren't made out of Crayon...I hope not anyway haha, Dunno i just know alot of Comic Book artists and cartoonists use them to draw/sketch.

Some really nice faces you have here. I love your self portrait especially, very intense looking. The commission piece is really good too. I don't know if I like the big black block behind him though, 'cause he just kind of fades into it.
Real rad stuff though, I can't wait to see more! :D

Ha! I love that group photo! I notice too about the big-headed ones in the back. That's humorous though, I can't get over how funny they are!! I love the pouting bald one!! (or...blonde, I'm not sure!)

He he thanks everyone, I've been asked to make a few changes/improvements on the class picture, one of which was the bald guy (The actor who it's supposed to be wasn't pleased with his picture lmao)
so I'll post the re-vamped version soon ^^

Ahh, the anatomy isn't so bad, actually! The proportions seem pretty good! You have the scribbly pencil going on sometimes, so that takes away from the flow of the sketches! (It's my favourite thing to do. Oh, do I scribble! XD)
For the guy's face, I see some perspective issues, his hairline is one thing to look at. His left side, in fact looks longer than his right. Perspective is a tough thing to work with. I read about it just a little; see it as you might see a building. Have some lines to guide you when you practice! :) Oh, and he looks sad. :( I feel a bit of sorrow for him.
That logo is interesting! While I'm less fond of the fonts, I do love the brush strokes and lines! :D
Good stuff!

Hey everyone, sorry I've not posted for a while, I've been so busy with college and work and driving tests argh. Anyway here's a few things I've been up to.
OK so after deciding my anatomy is pretty egregous, I got some books at the library which aren't all that ace but it's a start and I bought an A5 moleskin sketchbook for all my anatomical drawings.
Some of these are terrible, I know there's lots wrong with most of them.

Hey man how's it going? I'm glad ye still postin' on here, but as I know sometimes ye just can't seem to get your head down even when ye want too. It's good that ye drawing skeletons (which is what I should do more of). Knowing off the top of your head roughly the shape of the all the major bones is obviously an awesome foundation for figure drawing. I like that guys face, the tones ye used are awesome. What also is really good practice is drawing random stick figure poses, just using circles and ovals for the torso, hips, head etc.
