Welcome onboard jurffy.
If I can expect to see more of this wacky stuff 138076 in the future I'll happily come back for more. ;)

Looks awesome! Keep the sketchbook going, I'd love to see more! Overall, each of these works has very defined strengths. I especially like the stroke you use with pen. It's bold, gestured, almost calligraphic. Have you tried brush pens? They'll give a little more variance to the lines, and would lend themselves very well to your style.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Hey thanks, I'm sure you'll see more of those from me, eventually

I have used a Pentel brush pen for the lizards, I like using them for animal drawings because I like the look =D, and makes me really make sure that I put down the line correctly, good practice.

Thanks :perv:

OK. I worked more on defining the daggerman.. I posted the first wip image I have, along with the updated one.

Attachment 138076 is awesome- very unique style in that one.

As for your latest update I like the rendering so far but the pose is a little stiff (in my humble opinion). I like all your sketches though they all have lots of motion in them.

Keep up the good work I hope to see more!

I'm working on my EOW too, and it's definitely harder than it looks. Much much harder. I just hope to have a sketch worth keeping by the end of this weekend, so I can start. I like the second more, by the way. It feels like it has more space.

28chelseasater: thanks =p
drummingpariah: yea it's so hard.. environments. ahh! u like the 2nd one? i like it too but i thought it'd be better to not have such a large body of water for the theme "After the Battle" . Thanks man. =p.

This is what I got so far.. I probably add rescue helicopters.. and refine the bridge. and fix the lighting a bit.

you know, a few small fires (complete with flames and reflected light) could add a whole lot, give some focal points. You have an awesome feel going on though! I need to scan in the sketch I threw together for mine, I'm all sorts of excited about getting in on this. Thanks for the crits, by the way!

Hey you're right, a few small fires really would help.. thanks I'll try to add it in. Oh and no prob =p.

You have an interesting and unique style which really stands out, and your lines are very expressive.

The only thing I noticed at a quick glance or two (will have more time later) is that some of your human figure proportions are off a bit. You're obviously working on that with your anatomy study of the dagger man, which is excellent.

Keep it up! I'm looking forward to more.

Hey thanks a lot! Ya I have to life-draw a lot during school.

Thanks Yulorian. Did you notice the proportional errors in my life drawing or CG? If life-drawing, those are very fast drawings and if I do make a mistake I don't erase. But yea I definitely have to work on my anatomy =p, and proportion, sometimes I can't even see the error, so much to learn. Thanks.

Thanks for commenting on my sketchbook. I really like yours as well. The style on your (I don't know what medium that is) drawings is really nice. Your linework has a nice loose feel to it. Your dagger guy is really cool, too. The only thing I can find fault with is your environment (and I have a lot of trouble with those, too). The perspective seems off. We seem to be looking somewhat down at the harbor or whatever you'd call it, but we don't see the tops of any of the buildings. They don't seem to be converging toward any vanishing point, either. I know it's probably way too late for this one, but something to keep in mind for next time. :)

Hey thanks funfetus!
Thanks for pointing that out about my environment, I actually.. didn't even realize that problem.. :nohope: I'll definitely keep that in mind next time around, thanks again. ;)

And finally.. CHOW #73 is completed! Haha, my first completed CHOW. Well it turned out ok... She collects souls by kissing her victims and leaving a mark which becomes a symbol of being her prisoner.. they are all DOOMEDDDDD forevaaaaaaH!

Hey jurffy!

I really like what I see, you know your anatomy.
The soul collector is nice, I like the face especially. Perhaps she feels a bit flat though, maybe a cast shadow under her would make her pop more?

Never the less, keep it up!

Tigermilk: Thanks you for your comment I appreciate it :bashful: . Haha, actually I have to say that I don't know my anatomy that well, so much to learn. The Soul Collector piece though, I just BSed the anatomy, don't know if it's ok...Thanks though =D. As for the figure, I definitely agree with you that she looks a bit flat somehow. It's been bugging me, whenever I look at it. A shadow would definitely help, I don't know why I never even thought about shadows in this piece, ha ha.. thanks for pointing that out!! :} . I want to add more tones in her arms too.. we'll see. Thanks for dropping by =p.

ashrumm: Hey there! Thanks a lot! Yea, I'm studying animation so I'd say that our life-drawings are more gesture focused.

Ok, so I'm helping out with concepts and such for a game project, Empria. It is a non-paid job but for those who simply wish to have fun and concept for a fresh new game just find the info on the non-paid jobs section of this forum, we need extra help.

Here are some sketches I pulled off so far. :P
