Alright, I did this one yesterday from imagination, no reference used on an A2 paper... I guess its abit rough here and there, and I dont like it all too much but feel free to hammer me with critique so I might learn something :)

Nice sense of form and depth. Anatomy is great, the hands though seem to be getting close to becoming sausages though :o (guy's left hand mainly) At first I was thinking 'watch out for the tilt' but looking at the background it's obvious you had that in mind.

As for subject meaning, it's completely lost on me. If there is none, I have nothing left to say :)

Woah! Very hard to crit, and I must agree with seedlings response! Maybe, just maybe, the girl on the left has a little bit too small left leg? Anyway, that would just be nitpicking...

ears need work, neck anatomy needs work.
legs of girl on left.
try doing more drapery. if ur unsure about that stuff, i'd take out ref, or jus do some simple shapes. so that it doesn't take away from ur imaginary figures.

Your drawing skills are very good. This picture is too nice coming only from imagination. Just a hint: given you already knows how to draw well... then use refs! Your drawings will look even more beautiful!

nice drawing and details... a few anatomy issues, but this is great if it's from imagination... only crit is that everyone feels "stiff"

Thanks alot people! I really appreciate it! here are the replies:

Rhineville - thanks!! I admit that I didn't pay too much attention to the hands... need to start forcing myself to do that... I don't think I had a tilt in mind :( what do you mean by that? and yeah, I like doing stuff thats very free to interpret, and I only think of a very very loose story for the image (and I make it up as I go on, thats part of the fun)... but its called "The Hideout" if that makes any difference :P

Seedling - yep, thanks!!

Serpian -thank you, yeah you are right! I knew there was something wrong with her legs... just didn't know what!

afterthought - thanks a lot, Im thinking that next time Ill probobly use a ref for stuff like drapery, or water, etc. etc.

JOTAPEGE - thanks!! Yeah I could do that, but it would take away a lot of the fun and challenge from not using a ref, I don't really do it for the end result as much as I'm doing it for the actual process of creating. I'm planning to use a little bit of references later (check the reply to afterthought)

DimMak - thanks a lot! yeah I definitely agree with you on the stiffness, but stuff like that is hard to correct, I hope ill learn someday though! :P

cheers everyone! thanks!

Yeah im just gonna back up the general statement here. The drawing is really well rendered given the lack of ref, look up good model reference next time and whip up something really fantastic!
