Which pencils to buy?

Hi,
I'm currently using Derwent's studio colourpencils, a 72 pencil set out of which I use about three or four colours like red, blue, pink, brown to do monochromatic drawings. I hardly ever use any of the other colours. Some of the pencils are too hard on the paper and don't come as soft as the others, I guess because of the pigment. Now they're half the size they and my pencil set looks unbalanced.
So what brand do I buy if I want to do layered monochromatic shadings? Not Prismacolours because they're a bit crayony for the kind of shading I want done. I have Derwent's dry pastel pencils as well, but can't use them for practice renderings cz they smudge after a while.

Do make suggestions, I have no knowledge of any other brands besides these two.

Col-erase. You could also try Prismacolor Verithins, which have a harder lead than the regular Prismas.

I personally like to use Bruynzeel design pencils. I have these pencils at home of that brand.
-normal pencils
-colour pencils
-aquarel pencils
-& pastel pencils

I really like them and they are sold in boxes of 12, 20, 30, 45, and more...
These pencils are made in Holland (where i live) and they are sold in many other countrys.
I think a box of 30 pencils are the best for you, because then you have a nice variety of colours but you don't have to much so you get confused. :confident

I looked them up on the net and guess what, the transportation costs are three times the price of the products, it seems they're very delicate or something, so I guess I'll have to wait until I can get to Micheal's or Blick, which are really far away from where I live.

I've been searching on the internet for you for a site that sells Burynzeel pencils and that looks a bit Reliable.

This is a English site and they sell many products for artists.
They sell all the bruynzeel pencills except the aquarel pencills.

It's still very expensive so maybe a few hints.
-You can also buy a smaller box 20 pencils will still do the work.
-Buy 2 boxes, a box of pastel pencils or some other stuff you will need.:O

I've got myself a 12 pencil Derwent Graphitint set. It's soft and it comes in some lovely dull dark shades like Cocoa /Cool Grey /Aubergine /Dark Indigo /Ivy...
And its super smooth.
Now if only my drawing would match up.
