Hey that's awesome! Great job. Do one of the four-armed white gorillas next. :)

I remember reading somewhere that studio was planning on doing a John Carter on Mars movie but it fell through or something.

Your drawing is great, you should do a comic.

Nice...Tight pencils and inks, good stuff. And I agree with rimwalker that you should be doing comics, the business could certainly use some new/good talent. Nice website also, your sketches section is awsome, the concept drawings are great but wow, your comic style work really kicks ass!

BTW: THX1138 is a great movie

Hey thanks guys especially you Chromo, I needed to hear that. My self esteem has been a bit low recently. You know people need to hear the oohs and ahhs sometime.

Rimwalker I love Gorillas, I have been drawing them off and on for awhile and have been doing some layouts for a King Kong piece. The new Kong movie is going to rock King Kong dukes it out with 3 T-rexes.

I have the script to THX and thought about reworking the story a bit and do it how I imagine it in a comic or short film. But like so many people it is all talk and no results so I better zip it heheh.:D

Alright! That King Kong thing is going to rock! You will share it with the rest of us, right? :D

Yeah, gorillas are cool.

Your drawing style is very reminiscent of Art Adams--one of my favorite comic artists.

Solid concept. This is just a personal peeve, but the straight on side view of the gun and the gun arm bugs me a bit. It may be a little hassle to draw guns in perspective, but I think it's worth the effort and prevents making a pose look flat.

I dont know...It just felt right. I had every other arm going all over the place, I thought that might break it up. I am just going to keep at it, I will get it eventually.

Thanks for the comps. :)

Hey great drawing! It has a nice feel of motion. I enjoy your fluid inkwork as well.

Here is a small anatomy crit I noticed on the leg muscle: The placement of the line above his right knee bothers me. The inside muscle should be bigger than the outside one.

Yeah, really nice drawing! I agree with Cire on the leg and I have one anatomy cit to add to it as well: the bulge above his left shoulder where the trapezius would be looks a bit weird.

More! I want to see more!

Thanks Lono I appreciate it man! I see you moved to my home town of Austin. Where are you working now? you may know a lot of my old friends.

Clocks: I am glad you like it...

Michael: Go check out the Books "the Martian tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs" that is where the look of this martian is from. These books were written before Tarzan and way ahead of thier time. They were written before there were aeroplanes. There are 9 or 11 books in the series i cant remember i havent read them in so long... It starts out John Carter walks in a cave in the desert and comes out on Mars. There is even the wierd little letters in the beginning where Burroughs says that Carter was his real uncle and never aged when he would come and visit him and tell him the stories of his adventures.

Well i worked for Acclaim Austin for 5 years I started there when they were known For NBA Jam they were called Iguana Ent. I know a bunch of people at Retro, Inevitable, Fizz factor and Troublemaker studios maybe more. I go back home to Austin quite a bit. I miss it a lot. It is pretty amazing how small the industry can seem at times, everyone has worked with someone else.

Skylab I heard about them when they started looking for folks. I think that is a good place for opportunity and you will love Austin, there is so much to do there. Anyway if I am ever in town I would dig meeting you some time maybe go to EZ's for lunch and i can show you the coolest Comic shop around if you havent been yet. (Austin Books)
