Pure PhotoChop. Painted from scratch.
It is a BITCH to do linework with a 5x4 Wacom!

I started making this when I had seen a few episodes of Ergo Proxy. I was struck by similarities between the two series.

Both heroines sport distinctive black outfits, hairstyles and firearms. The power-hungry amd manipulative Trevor Goodchld has an analogue in the equally ambitious Raoul Creed. The megalopoli of Bregna/Monica and Romdo are utterly isolationist and seem unconcerned with the world outside them. Strange creatures exists in both series; Ĉon has Demiurges and Seraphs where Re-L has to deal with Proxies.
Both stories could almost be happening in the same world.

I really enjoyed redesigning Ĉon's costume and gun. I had to shorten Re-l's gun to make it fit.

This would be an amazing piece if Aeon wasn't anatomically hideous. Her pelvics and butt are really wonky and kinda throws everything off. Good composition and theme, just work on that and it'll be grand.

Hey, Æon turned out more or less exactly how i wanted. I was trying t give her a bit of that schiellesque vibe she has in the animations. To be honest, i'm more disappointed with my Re-l.

Just been watching Aeon Flux and she has wierd anatomy throughout all the episodes I've watched so far.

love the gesture of Ms. Flux. her anatomical stylization is perfectly in tune with the original character designs from the animated series. maybe the hair could have been slightly more extreme?

i think the other character however lacks some of the dynamism in the pose. kinda feels a little stiffer and not as engaged in the confrontation. just my lowly opinion though..

nice job!

Stylistically, these ladies clash too much. While i dig Aeon Flux, i also like the other girl, just not together.

Girl on the left isn't staring into girl on the rights eyes. Her cloak also seems extremely heavy and solid as does her hair. Seems like you went for a subtle look on this girl, but perhaps made it TOO subtle, so she mostly ends up looking... solid. Study different materials and make sure that reflects on the outfits. Use different opacities on your brush. The outfit works on Aeon, cos there's enough flesh to compensate the plastic look of the armor.

The bg is AWESOME, btw, but why is it so white-ish? Is it supposed to be behind glass? Might wanna add some lines to suggest it's part of the building, rafters (sp?).

This is a cool peice, I agree the background is sweet. I think you should work on the linework a bit, vary it in certain places and make it look a little more dynamic. I think the way it is now is making the peice suffer. Great job in other aspects, keep it up!

uhm... wtf are they doing?
no offense, but the chick on the left isn't pointing her gun at aeon, OR looking at her, and aeon isn't pointing her gun at HER, and the look on her face is almost the same as mine when i look at the other chick: utter confusion. thats probably why she lowered her weapon: she realized that the other chick is fucking retarded! haha or maybe blind...
also... when did aeon's hand turn into a gun? is that a genetic mod done to this clone?
anyway, aside from that i like the piece.
