looks nice for a first shot !

heres some tip if i may...

1st : id try to add more details on the very impart and maybe some cracks because you cant really see fire on such impact...

2nd : im not really used to those particles in the space, i think if you take them off and leave the stars it would look better... ( my opinion )

3rd : we want to see where this meteor is comming from, maube if you could add a light beam that comes from the speed of the meteor, it will definitly kick in mutch more like we couold feel the impact...

aaah well... my 2 cent worth ;)
