I’m currently working on a project with another artist that has about 5 titles…Each title will go for about 7 to 10 issues…Each series in the “universe” is sort of its own genre…Horror, Crime Drama, Action, and Gangster (is that a genre?).
We already have a lot of interest in the series from people (based off of the concept) who would like to fund us so it can be self-published as well as the opportunity to talk to a lot of big publishers (the artist on the project is pretty deep in the design industry and has some great contacts).
We want to put out issue zeroes (7 pages each that show a section of the story) for all titles so we can have something to show the investors/buyers. If it gets picked up, you get to be involved in a longer running project. If not (which I’m doubting), you get something cool for your portfolio. Since this is a collaboration, turnaround time is pretty relaxed...We're looking to have all issue zeroes completed by mid to end of summer...
The concept of the universe has religious overtones but please understand, this is not a book that the 700 Club will be promoting...It takes a different look at armaggeddon, god, and the devil. I can send any interested artists a synopsis for each title.
