can any one recommend any good books on Transportation Design?

Amazon search Scott Robertson.

He has land and aircraft books. More for inspiration really than for instructional purposes. And his designs are more for the entertainment industry than for actual road use.

His Hot Wheels book is pretty good too, probably underated. But he didn't hold back from giving advanced techniques here. Excellent supplement to his car dvds.

If you're after rendering techniques more, online car design sites/youtube have a lot of resources/tutorials available.

There's also this thick multi-lingual magazine that I check out once in a while. It's called Auto and Design. Not cheap but loaded with the latest auto concepts out of Europe, with lots of hand rendered art. Good mix of luxury, sport and utilitarian car designs.
