I really like this one.
Did you use a custom brush or did you paint each one of the marks seen on the picture??
Anyway, great work! Great inspiration, please keep it up!

You look like you went through a lot today.:crosseyed
Very intense piece this time.
an idea: for a later self portrait, maybe age yourself and imagine what you might look like in 20, 40, 60 or even 80 years down the road.

Whew, rugged looking :)
Love the way you convey the skull beneath the skin, makes it very striking/intense.

Very cool. I like the green on the collar.
..and if i am not mistaken that's the impressonist brush mixed with some talent.

This one really speaks to me Andrew. The colors, the pose, the technique. I feel like this one is pulling me in, it's very inviting. The actual techinique, the strokes you used, actually remind me of Van Gogh. His color selection would have been more "out there", but your techinique definitely reminds me of him.
I too would be VERY INTERESTED to hear more about your method on this portrait. Really great technique. This piece is very "thick", a deep piece. Very, very nice. Great job.

This really is special to me, Andrew. The edges, colours, it's just such a delight to read. No fuzz, no vanity, just the message. Do you feel that the brush helped you simplify? It feels like there is something basic hidden inside that space you've created, something that is more advanced than, heck, superior to my taste. I'll have to dig up my Visual Decoder Spectacles for this one... Great work.

...well at least.. when you'll look back you'll see what a beautiful trail you have left behind you. And if you see me far far away collecting the cans you've tossed in your way... wave!
Thank you again Mr. Jones!
