View Full Version : Environment: Battle worn docks and hut -[6 images]

This is for a school class project we're working on. any feedback is welcome.

we're going for a "ravaged town" look. these are the docks where the player will first land. the hut is gonna be stamed throughout the level. not sure about adding blood and what not on the hut yet since it'll get stamed and then it'll be the same blood over and over.

btw, the actual polycount on the docks is 1037, i was just really tired when i comped this stuff in pshop, hehe

Gasmask:....I don't know why but respones like those just make me like........also "BIG Fxxking red X" is another.

Anyway...the work....it's a good start but naturally I see huts like those having hay or grass as roof tops. Looking at african huts might help you out even if it's not the same shape or materials you're looking at......living conditions might change your view on things....

i thought this was where completed works go? well, will a mod move this to the proper forum if it's not supposed to be in here please?

i'll try to rework the textures this week during clean up. thanks for the help =)

Sorry if i made you cry 3B....naw JK lol but yeah its good modeling but just put it in the 3d section. Also i think with a better texturing job you could make this alot better w/ less polys and the planks seem flat, ad some depth.

have you played Morrowind? these remind me a lot of that game...even the whole ambience (sp?) are these for anything in particular?

these are actually for a level our class is working on. we're going to import it into unreal tournament. we're working on props and the evil guys stuff right now. it's gonna be medieval based. i'll post an update soon. you can look at the other students stuff here (http://www.videogameartist.com//ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=2)

i've never played morrowind, just watched someone play for a bit but it looked pretty interesting. only game i really play is everquest, hehe. well, MTG too $$

Thats pretty high poly for just a dock though
