Hello,

I am new to the forum. I am really glad I found it! I am 36 years old. I used to draw a lot in highschool. I have gotten back into it recently I want to be a fantasy illustrator/concept artist. My favorite concept artist is Miles Teves.

I took these with my digital camera. Sorry for the pic quality. I am working on better ways to upload pics. These are actually from a week ago. I have been sketching a few hours everyday for the last month.

Also I might attend MATC, her in Madison, wisconsin and take Animation and Concept design. Be glad to hear any crits.

Thanks

Hy there... It looks quite good.. just huuuuge. ^^
Just resize them with PS or anything youve got... best try few things(I like them at around 600 Dpi).
And you should really try to scan them somewhere... photos really lose quality. ^^

Also you should have a look at some anatomy books and studies... It already looks quite good, but there are dramatical mistakes there.
I think thats it for now... keep it up! XD

Keep up the sketching. Like me, you need to look back at some of the basics. Saying that though I still find your first image quite appealing.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing some human and animal anatomy sketches next.

Ok, Couple more.

Basically, these are from my imagination. I plan to do some strict anatomy stuff in the future. I also think I will do some drawings of my fish from life.

( edit: Actually, the wolf is not from memory, its from a photo)

Hey,

Krom, I checked out your sketch book but when I go thetre it logs me out. But anyway, I just want to say, You are really good at architecture, costumes and fabric wrinkles. Thatose are things I suck at.

Well here is the rest of the ones on my camera. I am out of batteries, even though I have a lot more sketches. I will try to figure out a way to scan them.

These markers are cool. I've never used them before. I have been expirimenting with getting skin tone. I find though that drawing with them tends to make them look cartoonish as opposed to pencil.

Its just so freaking huge. And the talent pool is pretty deep. Thanks, but I am just wondering what I am getting out of this. I've looked at some other peoples work, but to get good feedback and interaction going I don't know what kind of time investment that would take. Plus my goal is not to get lots of stars by my thread, my goal is to be an illustrator. If I am going to harness a bunch of energy toward a goal it will be something that will make me money.

I can look at my sketches at anytime. I could post them on my blog. I could create a private blog that no one else can see and get nearly the same amount of comments.

Maybe that is what I will tell myself. I am posting these on a private blog that no one else can see. That way when no one looks at them or comments I won't care.

Or I could stop whining.....

Just keep working, Theodor! The work's the thing. People will look (I did, eventually) but they won't comment until they can see something they think they can comment on. I've flicked back through your sketchbook, and if you want a crit, I think you need to do some work on proportion and anatomy; having said that, my favourite sketch is the werewolf,- you have something there that's worth working on.....
