endregon-thank you. I have to get that page back over here...it idisappeared on me...

Jason, thank you, I love doing these, sometimes more than finishing them. This stuff gets pretty nutty at such a small size; good practice for inking...:chug:

I love these!

I love sketches, comps, and studies. They always show much more freedom than a finished piece.

Ron,

I recognized the Wyeth cowboys even before I saw the note underneath, and I assume the one next to it is a Harvey Dunn. What, if any, are the sources for the rest?

Woo i love the colours! brilliant. I cant wait til i get to learn to use gouache. And those sketches are great. Im out of words. (well not quite...)
That third gouache (soldier), maybe the soldier should be closer up? Now we are spying at him from far away, maybe he should be closer for more drama.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. These are fun for me, and apparently fun to look at too. That is awesome. I will post the sources for the other images when I can find them again, if you look hard enough at teh page you can see in pen the names under each study. I think...heh

I love the top left sketch... incredible composition. I don't think I would know how to handle a scene like that yet. Beautiful colors as well... thanks for posting!
