Oh fuck yes dood! I love where you're going with your space opera, the love you pour into these clearly shows. Loosening up with the inital drawing definitely helped them get even more ... awesome :D

But seriously, you got to work on your colors and rendering if you ever want to get out of your current situation. Please consider my advice as your friend on this. I know you're having fun exploring and deepening all these character drawings, but think of how much it would broaden your possibilities to be able to use another layer of expression altogether. That, plus the jobs that I know you need. I think your whole body of work could just benefit greatly if you'd readjust these priorities for now. (And Jana and me would really like to have you here :) )

Woot woot, those megaman pages are full of win. Your colors are starting to get really good, the second version of those group colors is a bit too extreme I think, some color balancing could help? Wow man...real badass stuff you're putting out! The Scorpion drawing is sick and the hippo-warrior guy mad me chuckle. The only thing throwing me off about the hippo guy though is his arm. The upper arm looks as if it's rotated inward and doesn't seem to match the angle of the forearm and hand. It's a minor nitpick but it's something that popped out to me right away. If I'm right about that skull on his arm being a cover for his elbow, I'd suggest shifting that more towards the back of the arm to help with that angle as well.
But yeah...awesome work! I'm surprised I didn't find this sketchbook sooner XD Looking forward to seeing more of your work :D

bro......thanks for the wisdom the other day. really.............. i learnt a lot at MADE but ur words were kind of a slap in the face and reachd on a different level to the stuff i learned there

ur completely right. i was killing myself...i realised i stopped enjoying art as much because of the burden of my expectations. past couple of days i have been having a lot of fun just drawing and enjoying fucking around productively...not stressing about the outcome. i just had to remember why i started drawing the first place...because drawing process is fun and id be happy doodling on just toilet paper if it came to that .

my imagination figure drawing is going much better-, ive been practising the stick figures thing for months since u first told me about it, and its going realllllllly well.
it was great meeting you, next time ill try not to be stoned......but your words were a breath of fresh air and if ur ever in london uve got a place to stay

your last full figure sketch of the girl with the rabbit, i really like - i think you are handling design well, the forms read clearly and dont compete with eachother so much as when you describe more details (sometimes its confusing to my eye)

also your painting is coming along so well... it wont be long before its up to the standard ur lines are. one thing i have noticed is, you need to apply the same teachings on value ranges that you were talking about to the saturation in ur colours. if ur using a range of intense chroma in ur foreground then desaturating the background REALLY pops out the figures.

OK in hindsight this is abad example because i have made the whole image kind of grey when before the cold hippo contrasted on the warm background.,but im just trying to show how i think sometimes you make every part of the image scream loudly with detail or values or saturation... and images work better when one part sings and most parts hum :)
the same goes with values. you understand them well already and better each day....however it might help to just think of contrast theory a bit more. contrasting values draw the eye so use most contrast on focal points. right now the area of greatest contrast is where his hand/arm meets the bg on the left....do you really want the viewers eye to hover on this specific area? it helps to tilt ur head to the side and really squint to see what draws ur eye the most.

one thing i didnt understand when we talked, you divided the figure into thirds ...but i forgot where and why.
