Nice work on the chains and some of the rust and textures. Reminds me of Brom's work. Some of her anatomy I think needs some closer attention like the bicep area. Did you work from reference?

love the outfit, though if the iron pikes were meant to be symmetrical the top half of them stick out like a sore thumb. as for what moon said, the upper half of the arms look like they could be fixed up a bit. not a fan of the background either, but the piece is solid. keep it up man.

I think the issue with the arms seems to be that the upper arm is a bit too long. The elbow usually comes to mid torso, hers are almost resting on the hips.
Overall I do love the piece though, great work.

MoonVisionStudio: Thanks! Yes, I was pretty influenced by Brom when I started this piece, so I guess it shines through. No refs used, and I DID have difficulties with the arms... :P
legacy: Thanks for the crits! The spikes where not really meant to be symetrical, at least not TOO symetrical. I wanted it to be obvious they where "hand-made", so to speak. Didn't mean for them to be too asymetrical either though... maybe I should go over them one more time. :^^;:
Fourth Nail: Well, there we go, thanks for pointing out the problem. Now I can hopefully fix it so it doesn't stick out so bad any longer! :teeth:
designboot: Dammit... not the first time someone says my images are too flat. I have to work on that. :nohope:

Mmmm, Brom. Everyone else's comments aside, I think the background 'disc', needs to have a slightly more obvious outside edge. The interior details have edges, but the outside edge has little o none. This is probably contributing to the flatness observed by designboot.
However, I like it and it grows on me the more I look at it.

The arm looks the the muscle split that you see on the triceps at the back of the arm. With her arms bent at these angles holding a weight she would be pretty much doing a bicep curl, so the bicep should be flexed slightly.
This pic may help.

Thanks for the helpful crits, everyone, much appreciated! :teeth:
Quatermass: I think I managed to fix the problem with the edges of the disc, thanks for pointing it out to me. :)
SBACHAN: Thank you!
SEVANS: Whoa, many thanks for the ref pic! Helped a lot in trying to fix the arms - I was really unsure about the looks at that angle, and I'm still not entirely satisfied... but I think the only thing that will help me is more practise and detail studies. ;)
fookchai: Thanks! :^^:
Updated with the fixed version. :)

That's looking better. The biceps are perhaps not quite right, but they've definitely benefited from that reference.
