I am a writer. I have this story that has shown a promising popularity, at least toward the main character. I'm looking for someone to illustrate the comic as an equal partner, who upon success of the comic will share all profets associated and will be credited as the original illustrator. I would prefer an artist who is well versed in "dark" art, such as spawn or Sin City. It doesn't sound as dark as it really is, but through my eyes you'd be able to understand. It's called "Teddy Patches". It's about a man named Theodore Bennet, who grew up in an orphanage in chicago. He was adopted into a family and became really close to the familie's younger son. He even gives him the teddy bear that he kept from his birth parents. The little boy is killed by the leader of a big russian crime organization, not as big at the time. The leaders name is Chris Tannen, but he's called Kringle for his particular cruelty towards children. Theo see the murder happen and watches as Kringle leaves. He goes over to see his younger brother, who is brutally injured, along with his favorite teddy bear, and he falls into a coma. Theo gets blamed for the little boy's condition. and is placed into a juvenile detention facility with the bear. Being there with a stuffed animal causes him to receive a lot of ridicule and violence. He soon learns to use violence for his own means. After a while everyone at the facility learns not to mess with "Teddy Patches". He is eventually released and has to resort to theft to survive, but after seeing the effects that gangs, thugs, and organized crime, have had on his neighborhood and many others like it, and remembering how it tore him from his adopted family, he decided to end it's influence. He crafts a suit modeled after his tattered bear as a symbol of strong innocence, and as a personal message to the Russian who assaulted his brother. He fights violently against criminals under the name that showed him the uses of violence...Teddy Patches. I'll attach a picture of Teddy. If you're at all interested let me know, and we can discuss it. If this story isn't up your alley, and you see potential in my work, then just tell what kind of story would interest you more. I have plenty so I'm sure I could find something for you. Also, whether you'd like to work with me or not, I'd appreciate any suggestions to the story, or character of Teddy Patches. Thanks, I hope to hear from you. Amateurs with no prior experience are definetly welcome.
