Hi all,
Been a while since I've had anything new to post on here. Here's my latest, which I'm still pondering on a title for. Anyone got any ideas? I made this for my girlfriend's birthday, but I finished it about a month late, after getting caught up in loads of real-life stuff. Ah, real life, the biggest detriment to my art.

Thanks for the comments guys (and/or girls),
I've been tentatively calling it "The Embrace", but I was hoping to add some oceanic feel to it like, "Immersed," or perhaps a suffix "-- of the Deep."
Ok, maybe that's dumb :)

Sand, how's it been?
For a title, I'd recommend: Spirit Rising or Our Bodies One
The male character's eyes need an underwater glow. Good to see you still alive and drawing.
Keep doing you

For a title I would have to suggest "Kissing Underwater" or maybe "Smooching Underwater" cause it definitely looks like they're about to smooch.

right taking the proper emotional title path here. how about something like
hero-because she looks like she has been through some tough times(ripped clothes etc) and he seems like the kinda saviour hero character.
OR
un-obtainable-because she obviously wants him but the merman(?)on human thing just doesnt realy go, would end in a messy divorce and her getting custardy over the dolphins:)
just as a matter of interest did you use photomanipulation for the woman?...im not asking in a bad accusative way- its just er ear looks sorta half coloured and the woman looks more 3d than the man..he looks very 2d
still a good piece:)

Actually, I rendered both of them with Poser figure artist, and used it for a light reference, and I intended the male figure to be more a part of the water, but I agree he came out a little flat, although I tried to follow the lighting scheme. Anyone have any suggestions about how to make him seem a little more deep?
She's not a photomanip though (I'll take that as a compliment!), actually she's probably the best face I've painted yet. I did have references though, of course. I often take snapshots of my friends' ears, hands, etc. (it's amazing how different a girl's hand is from a guys, for example) Also, I followed the hair tutorial from Linda Berkvist, it's really amazing: Furiae.com (http://www.furiae.com/index.php?view=gallery)

Hi, I havent got a name for your piece, but most folks who posted has helped ya there, nice piece overall, but my main concern/crit is the females arm. Its kinda thin and short for her overall figure. Her head is massive compared to her arm, and the shoulder is far too straight as it goes into her neck, your missing the slight curve of her bicep and shoulder muscle...
