I'm embarrassed to ask this but i hate my super-fancy monitor;
it's Dell' widescreen and i can't manage to find the adjustment for the correct aspect ratio. I know this question doesn't really belong here but i couldn't find a proper place to post it.
Does anyone have similar problem and knows how to solve it?
Thanks a lot guys.

Regards,

Khan

right-click the desktop, choose 'properties' and under the settings tab there will be a slider that will give you a preview of the aspect ratio.

good luck.

Thanks, but i tried that already of course. None of the presets gives me the proper solution.

I would find out it's native resolution. Some LCDs state they can do a full range of resolutions but there is one setting that allows the best viewing. Then see if your video card can do that resolution. Is the text and menus blurry?

You should be at 1920x1200 or 1680x1050 resolution depending on which size you've got if I remember right. Those are native for the two Dell widescreens.

Mine is 22" - 1680x1050.
Now I'm getting used to using a 4:3 tablet on 16:10 @_@.

Well my Dell lcd wide comes with a remote. I just use that to switch from full to 4:3 aspect.

Not sure if this helps.

Did it come with any sort of driver CD? My computer refused to switch to widescreen until I installed the included software.

Have you tried updating your video card drivers? That may also be your problem.

Hi Milton,

I have no video card. Have to check for graphic card drivers though...
Thanks.

I think thats what he meant with video card.. your graphics card. anyway, I personally love my dell 24" monitors.. I can rotate them 90 degree's so I can have the optimal amount of space for painting images in portrait size
