Hello boys and girls!
Been a while since I posted anything (as usual) but here´s the mockup cover for the third installation of the "Monstergirl" ("Monsterflickan" in swedish...)
series.
There´s still room for improvement - it won´t be released untill this fall, so any comments are welcome.
I´ll be posting some interior art from the second book soon - it´ll be out in a week or two.
/cheers!

Najs.
Good colour, good atmosphere, but to my eye it doesn't seem like they're really in the same picture. Can't put my finger on it though. Maybe it's the strong green outline between the girl and the woman?

personlaly I think you should've dropped the full green backlight, but instead limit it from the left and up. it makes it look flat I think, other than that I love the rendering of it, and the general composition, which is relly suiting as a bookcover with a single character focus (like the title saus atleast - I havent read the book)...

Lovely style. The characters are great. The sun in the middle of the background looks weird though. It has one eye on the left, but the other side has two eyes? It just makes the sun look out of proportion. The composition is very symmetrical, and this non-symmetry in the sundial really messes with my head. That is a fairly small thing though, the rest of this image is great. I can't wait to see more of your work. Good luck!

This is one stunning cover! Great job! I love the outline myself, and the color is pretty tight. My only crit would be that the young girl's face seems a bit 'too' ruddy, too much purple and red in there, kind of makes her look a little strange in the face. But again, great job!

Lovely Cover! I like your style. Perhaps if you toned back the old lady and the wolf a bit it would gain some focus on the girl. Also it seems the hind quarters of the wolf should show behind the girl's leg. Great Work!

I´ll definitely have a few good pointers to consider when I do the final version...
In case anybody´s interrested, here´s a link to an old thread with interiors from the first book plus the cover for the second one:

Wow, very nice. I'm not too fan of the BG, I think it doesn't look as refined as the characters do, but as it seems there's going to be a title in there, I guess it doesn't matter that much. :)

Beautiful. I especially like the two secondary characters (the dog and the grandmother).
I think the background looks a bit flat - at the top of the background you have a lighting rim on the design (as if lit from above slightly), and I think it might look good if this continues down into the rest of the design. Although as said before it's probably going to be covered by the title anyway.
Great work, thanks for sharing! :)

this looks great, my only beef is the ouline could be toned down just a little bit (make it thinner, or not so bright)

Thanks for all the feeback!
I think I´ll rework the backgrund a bit and make it a bit cleaner (it´s basicly just lineart with bevel/emboss over a texture at the moment). The secondary characters probably needs to fade in to the background a bit more aswell.
I´ll get back to you when it´s done.
The second book has just left the printers so it should be in stores any day now. I´ll post some interior art as promised as soon as it´s out.
Here´s a black and white monsterlady as a little teaser...
cheers!

beautiful abstractions my friend.....lovely......some of the airbrushing..(Or soft blending) is a tad bit distracting..but that's just nitpicking.....this is a rock solid illustration with great character design....good job mate!!
