My friend just sent this to me, a very cool flash animation that I thought deserved some posting. Hope you guys dig.

And on another note, does it look like Chucky from Rugrats is making a cameo?

That was quite sweet. Was anyone else reminded of the Potemkin Stairs?

Not flash. He probably found it off www.drawn.ca, the movie is amazing. There's more info on the site everyone should check it out!

I saw this on another forum earlier today and I have decided that I must get a copy of AACHI and SSIPAK, even if I don't understand a single word of it.
Simply gorgeous stuff.

That's insane!
I especially liked how the "main character" had nipple scars. Lol, one tough dude.

Is it flash ??? I think is not right .......?

Yeah, I thought I read it was flash, but now thinking about it, I don't know. It seems like it's the same guys and gals who did the "eekkk, monsters" (I think that's what it was called) animation on nickelodeon. And then it also looks like some of the stylization from Rugrats. That's my guess -

Damn it, my net's goin' so sloooow! >.<
Look awesome so far though. I dun think it's flash... Not tweened crap anyway.

....Wow. And I thought anime was weird.
This is a Korean movie - FlyingMilton said the name earlier. Aachi and Ssipak. Wasn't another clip posted on this forum - or maybe I saw that somewhere else?
And it kind of upsets me that the little blue guys are so cute but are constantly getting their heads blown off. :p
[Edit] Official site for the curious - http://www.aanss.com . Uhhh... if you can read it lol.

Why not flash? The characters could be hand drawn, coloured and animated in this program (doesn't necessary have to be tweened animation). Background done in some 3d software and then in could be all combined together in propably Adobe AfterEffects (camera movement, special effects, sound)

Awesome as it was, that was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Why was everyone three-quarters naked?
DannySketch
April 16th, 2007, 01:21 PM
because all the way naked would just be plain inappropriate.
good find visions :)

it's great animation but i find it all a bit cliche, oddball characters aside, the actions (such as the leaping off the bike, heads etc) have been done a lot... i'd like to see this guy delve into weirder stuff.

wow...leaking style everywhere...I agree it's been done before but there was enough new tech's in this animation to make up for it and the fact that he/she/them took so many of those cliche moves and put it into one 6min annimation says something for it.

Seen Aachi & Ssipak at a film festival, it was pure awesome. Just the opening scene had the audience cheering. Seeing this clip doesn't do it justice; go see it in a cinema if you get the chance.

I have to agree with you. I just watched it today and it was beyond awesome. I am in love with this movie. If anyone can get a copy I definitely recommend it.
It kind of upsets me that mainstream animation in the US seems soo boring compared to this stuff.

Very nice! Loved the style and the movement was reeeeally awesome! The way the main guy's body kicked around is totally inspirational for action poses.

that's one of the funniest parodies-by-going-way-way-way-way-far-over-the-top that i've seen in a long, long time. i think it jacked nearly every ultra-violins anime cliche right through the roof, and was still fun to watch.
excellent scene design as well.

Watched this movie the other night, great action but typical odd korean humor :P
I seriously doubt it was done in flash, Korea is home to some of the best animators in the business after all.

VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) can ignore DVD/VCD regions.
