Hey Ron, nice to see you posting here.
I just wanted to say I love your stuff (including this piece), and I look forward to your future posts.
Was this for a class you taught at Watts Atelier?

yes very soft..very nice...hand is a nice touch too...tis starting to really pop...what was the timeframe on that? 3hrs? 6?
JRR...where the hell are yours?? that is your gift ya know...life painting...everything else you are doing is just a distraction from your path my friend. :) perhaps the two of you could start a head painting thread from life...not self ports...but life work...and have dueling banjos!
heheheh

for some reason I can't see any of your posted images except the second posted head painting of the blonde. I just get red Xs. don't know if that's just me or not though. Glad to have you on the forums though.
...Jason haha wow, you know who that comment to jrr just reminded me of...... Michael Falanga, Frazetta's Brooklyn Academy teacher.

Hello. Thanks jrr. I think Jason is on to something. Maybe a life painting thread? That could be cool.
Joe, thank you also. This was from Life at the atelier...where I spend too much time....heh it was a portrait class, I am currently teaching, but it was when I was studenting. Jeff and I switch the teaching duties on this class so we can paint from life also.
Jason...2.5 roughly. We have a 3 hour class, but it takes forever to set up, then there are breaks and all that jazz...the funnest times I have are from the life painting...its such a rush, challenge, etc. all at the same time...
avetice-thank you, dont know why the other images arent showing up...maybe the site was hit with too much bandwidth at the time...its a freebie site and anything unusual with it, and it goes down instantly...

Ron,
Are you ever going to teach a digital painting class at the Atelier?
fredflickstone
July 27th, 2003, 01:21 PM
Stephen, from last semester, one of the last painting classes we had...it was a good day then...and colorful...heh
cityworker-that is the plan. We are looking for any loopholes legally that would cause harm to our school, and once that is worked out, I am opening up an entirely new part of the school, mostly a digital/traditional crossover, never neglecting the traditional...

thanks ron, i studied at the school of visual arts. my teachers were steven assael, max ginsburg. i'm not much of a sit there for hours and render guy, i'm more of a sit there for hours and squint guy. :D
EAST side!
now let's start a dueling banjo thread.
