Overseas Animation Supervisor sought
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead our animation team in India, creating high-quality character acting with distinctively designed characters, for our global release theatrical CGI family film.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the animation created at our Indian partner studio, guiding, supervising and reviewing all the work produced by the animators to the specifications provided. You will be the daily liaison with the Animation Director in Belgium via phone, video chat & email,etc.. Animation supervision includes reviewing dailies, scene assignments, scene animation reviews, following up Animation Directorial comments, tracking of progress against production and delivery according to schedules. You should enjoy teaching, for example regarding acting for animation or using cgi animation controls.
Skills: Excellent understanding of acting using animation. Knowledge of principles such as weight and timing related to realistic human and non-human movement, as well as traditional cartoon-style animation. You will need solid animation experience, a good eye for detail, effective communication skills and the proven ability to meet deadlines while motivating your team. Must be fluent in English and able to communicate the requirements to the animation crew accurately and effectively to insure the maintenance of quality.
Experience:
∑ Minimum 3 years as Lead Character Animator &/or Supervisor experience in a CGI film or video production pipeline.
∑ Knowledge of Maya and the programs capabilities related to character animation.
∑ Demonstrated leadership, diligence and organizational skills, together with the ability to take responsibility.
