Hello when i try to draw something i can never start the drawing...im really into drawing the barbarian/samurai/warrior type dudes with swoards or axes or whatever...i have drawn a few but mostly got ideas from online...i will post them eventually but they have to be scanned 1st...any input would be greatly appreciated

The reason you are having trouble is that drawing realistically from the imagination isn’t something that you just magically get good at. You have to first build up a solid knowledge of such basics as anatomy, line, composition, and value. It takes a lot of drawing from life – not copying photographs or other peoples’ art - before you’ll be good at doing the same thing from your imagination.
