I'm Leilani, a filmmaker and I am producing a short live action Samurai film next year which is currently in pre-production.
The director and I are seeking an illustrator to produce a couple of concept illustrations for the project taken from a couple of key scenes.
The film will be beautifully visual and we are looking for naturalistic, striking images that are not about swordfighting but about the honour of being a samurai and that will represent the heart of a couple of key moments in the film.
One of the reasons we need concept illustrations is to show people the vision of how poignant the film will be and inspire them to support us in bringing this about.
Everyone involved in the project is working for free so we have nothing financial to offer at this stage. What we can offer is credit on the finished film which is intended for the higher end film festivals, links on the website and exposure of your artwork. Obviously if the film did make any profit you would receive your fair share.
You can check out our previous work on our filmmaking site at www.ottfilms.co.uk and if interested in this particular project please contact myself (Leilani) on ottfilms@gmail.com with samples or links to some of your work.
I promise that this will be an excellent quality and very fun project to be part of!
UPDATE: We have now found a wonderful illustrator to help us with this project and offer our thanks to this forum and to those artists who took an interest in our film.
