This castle is inspired by ancient fortresses found all over Ireland. It’s completely modeled in Cinema 4D software.

im not a 3d guy really (i sculpt though) but the biggest problem i see here is that the lighting in the sky doenst match whats on the building very well at all. the shadows would be more more diffused if the light source was that wonderful UK grey. :)

yeah I have to agree. try to find a matching HDRI map and apply that one as the lightning instead, then render the bg and fg in seperate layers, so you can post-adjust them in PS to make it match. other than that I have to say awesome work on that castle; both texturing and modeling here is just ace, man;)

the lighting could possibly make sense if there was a break in the clouds. it could be very overcast with a few spots of sunshine breaking through
