Digital speed painting, anyone?

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to Photoshop and digital media in general, though I've been drawing and painting most of my life. I've been making some progress with digital painting, but am still quite slow. I wanted to ask anyone out there for tips on speed painting, perhaps even a quick rundown of your process. Thanks!

have a proper search around the forums for tutorials made by other members; fortunately we are all members of a community where people are forthcoming and open with their artistic process and techniques.

check out this thread from COW (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=79673) with links to a bunch of tutorials. great stuff.

this is but one blade of grass in a vast plain, so dig around and you never know what you might find.

if you want your own work critiqued jump into the critique center (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59) and post up some stuff. people are far more forthcoming with information when you are willing to put yourself out there a bit.
