You were doing the right thing when you tried it the second time, just your URL was incorrect.

Not bad, keep practicing. The eye brow looks really bushy. Look at your own eye brow in the mirror. The hairs are longer and usually follow the line of the brow. Look at some photo reference while practicing. Or if you are going for a more stylized image look at comic books or something. Keep working.

the eye is very generic for a starting artist ( most do it that way) the eye brow is WAY to close to the eye. look at photos of real eyes and pick up drawing on the right side of the brain. the book will help you see things way differently. after just doing a few exercises things started to make alot more sense. then just practice practice practice!
