Well im sure im not the only one dissapointed with sony and there latest console. It seems all sony is fighting with this generation is there marketing brand. I cant express my shock at what lack of preperation it would appear they whent through this generation. I mean just concidering the fact that 80% of the games created now a days have a multiplayer online experince as a focus. These commercials are driving me crazy as well, how many of these commercials have they created showing absolutely no game play. only low budget actors and H d camera footage. while there busy shouveling out commercials microsoft is collecting there 3rd partty devlopers.

eh, sony was already out of the game as soon as i saw the ps3, microsoft already had most o the market anyway. thinka bout it, how many more people like to play halo on xbox than any other ps2 game.
the big impact was the price of the system and the lack of actually good games for the system. honestly, ps3 isn't worth it. i've played it, don't like it.
sony really missed their shot. microsoft and nintendo will be in the lead for the next few years. when 360 came out it already had a shelf of great games.

i get the feeling ps3 is going to end up like dreamcast.

I hope Sony crashes and burns over this. Soon as I heard that the PS3 was going to be $600+ dollars just for a stupid Blu-Ray drive, they lost me. It didn't help that Sony declared that Japan would get a price break (but not any other nation). Not to mention that the games I'd want for PS3 are being ported over to Xbox360 anyways.

Seriously, when Japanese developers start jumping ship to Microsoft and Nintendo, you know Sony has seriously 'effed up.

Hey, I resent that! :)

Unlike the PS3, Dreamcast actually had lots of fun (exclusive) games to play, it only failed because Sega doesn't know a marketing strategy from it's own... well, you get the idea.

Or maybe I'm just biased towards the Dreamcast 'cause I'm a 2D junkie. :P

Sony will fail, its just a shame that it's going to happen, PS2 was/is fantastic...360 has already won the battle in my opinion

yeah i used to have one, loved it, it was very innovative for it's time...until ps2 came along. after while most of the games you wanted to have, you would have to hunt for them going from store to store or downloading the ISOs and burning them to play on dreamcast. that was another cool thing, didn't need a mod chip. i miss playing shenmu, power stone and marvel vs capcom.

anyways, i'm planning to get 360 soon along with games like mass effect, gears of war, assasin's creed, etc.

I think Sony has something up their sleave, they are not about to let this playstation ship sink and from the games I have played the console is absolute powerhouse. They need to lower the price on this thing though and fast! I have rented a couple of times but there is no way I am shelling out that kind of cash for a console.

im really hopin too that sony have something up their sleeves. Although I have to say that they need all the luck and acumen in the world just to dig themselves out of the pit they dug for themselves. Apart from a console who's initial price was by far the highest and then that price climbing as production bugs kicked in, I've heard reports that they've been almost extorting developers.
I find it incredible to believe that this is the same company that came out with the ps2. Those 'suits' really know how to #$#$ things up ... come on sony .... lower those prices, win the trust of developers back and ARISE !!!! ARISE !!!!!! :D
