Hey guys, this is only my second post, but I'm trying to get past all the things I've already completed so I can post newer things that are in the works right now. I just posted a few sketches in the doodles section here:
http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=9449
And here is the first digital painting I ever did:

Additionally, here is the poorly and hastily constructed photoshop reference for the above digital painting:

C&C encouraged. Please.

ah yes i saw ur invitation of you for to come here and so i did oO. Well this is looking pretty good. But there are definitely some perspectivity problems. The main problems lie in the individual bars of the reiling. they dont mimic the perspective they are trying to show. Apart from that i tihnk it lokos a bit rough caouse you obviously didint use a ruler :D. however i do like the coloring you used on the boy. good stuff all in all

I see what you all mean.
This was part of an Introduction to Illustration portfolio of mine, where the assignment was to illustrate a dream.
I thought I was going for a distorted look, but I suppose maybe I didn't take it far enough into the distorted feel and just came off as having a lack of perspective capability.
Thanks a lot fo the critiques, and keep them coming.

andy, I still really dig both of these. Man, that photo montage is so disorientating... diggable. i just saw your post of my forums, after like what, a month now? So, here's my two cents:
Keep it up, post some more of your stuff! I still think seeing those gremlins is a little tricky, just because they are so thin, but then again, maybe the subtlility works for you here.
oh, and zeroe has a point about the perspective. I completely didnt realize it when I saw the piece earlier. It does add to the disorientatin-ness.
anyway, goodluck.
