Looking for some music...

Does anyone have something that sounds a bit like one of those bands?

You might dig TV On The Radio. Bloc Party comes up often on my TV On The Radio Pandora Station

What I sometimes do is visit Amazon.com, search for a few bands I like, then see what's in the "customers who bought this also bought.." list.

It often throws out good suggestions for similar bands, I just tried it with Mars Volta and it suggested At the Drive In and Sparta.

I've also tried out At The Drive-In but I thought it was too screamy. Tv On The Radio sounds rather cool.

I haven't tried those bands out yet. I'm experimenting with that pandorra radio thing right now and otherwise I'd be totally overwhelmed by new music XD

You shouldnt look for bands that sound like th bands you posted. Don't listen to one genre, don't limit your musictaste, listen to music and buy the music you enjoy listen too. You get my point?

okay I guess that's true, but I need to go looking from something right? Otherwise you guys might even recommend me Britney spears or something... (not that I believe you would, but you get my point right?)

btw, I find pandora a bit one sided actually. I have the feeling I only get to hear those american emo bands instead of cool music with a unique sound, so I guess it's not really the best way to look... still thanks for the tip though.
