Been trying to push myself doing digital stuff and here are the last two encounters on that little adventure. I just watched some Bobby Chiu videos on youtube that helped a ton. I love working the light into dark.

In regards to the first image, I think the lighting along the foot is causing it to look separated from the rest of the picture. Along the left edge of that appendage is a light source, but it's a source that I don't understand the source of, because it seems to be the only part adopting that light.

The right ear seems too bright.

Technically, I think that just a little bit of more refinement and clean-up is needed for that one knee (right below the mouth). There's a lot of really crist, definitive brush strokes, so to have a couple dabs of paint is causing that one part to really stick out.

As for Darth Vader.

Contrary to the previous image, this one is still a little too sketchy. Helmet looks just fine, but the cape has some very squiggly strokes that would greatly benefit from being straightened out.

The effect inside of him is confusing to me. I see the Death Star but what's with all the debris around it? Why is all that noise in place? And why are those speckles going outside of his cloak?

It's an effect that may seem good in concept, but could benefit from some more concrete ironing out.
