Hey everyone, first time poster inspired and impressed by the skill shown in this forum.

Trying my hand at Painter, having fun and realizing I've lots to learn.

Looks pretty good to me. It's got a very cartoony feel, and is monochromatic, but none of those are bad things. I like the details you put on him, and I think it helps with his design. Only thing I don't particularly care for is the way you painted the face. It's rather flat compared to the rest of the character.

You may have a lot to learn, but think of how fun it will be doing it!!! My advice is don't even think about having to "learn" stuff. Have fun drawing your butt off, and learning will just come along for the ride. I'm pretty sure if you ask any of the pro's here on the forum, every single one of them will tell you they still have a lot to learn. It's an ongoing process, but man is it fun!!!

I only wish they had an internet forum around when I was just starting out drawing, open forums like these are exactly what artists need. Big props to the folks who brought this site into creation, because it's such an amazing resource for all artists, pro's and novices.
