Hello!
In the this forum i write first time.Here is a piece of art that a finished today.It is a antic head of philosopher Sokrates.It is a life size.Material is a stone- sandstone.I will work on a plinth. I hope you liked.

awesome but its "socrates" a c not a k. I was hoping you hadn't carved that into the sculpt itself

Great work man. I carve stone myself and your work looks top notch. Very clean and expertly crafted. Did you use a pointing machine on this or is it free carving? either way great work.

after checking your site I see that you use a pointing machine. Great work, I know how long that takes.
to the 3D modelers in here a pointing machine is a tool like a 3d stylus that is used to transfer points from a model into stone. It takes a long time and skill to do it right.
