Once a very handsome man, his whole life changed when his wife and kids were murdered. Since that time, he’s been holding a grudge against the people who killed his family, and learnt not to trust anybody. People call him “The Killer” as he undertook the painful task of avenging his family by spilling a lot of blood…

The head has a anatomyproblem, to big, concerning the way the hood flows around it. The hood should be pressed from my left to right, seeing the windeffect on the lower left of the cape. I would let the cape on the right fly of the body much more. Rendering is kinda flat, espacially on the armbands. I like the work on the sword/knife thing.

thanks the Fritz.

Again, how can I add a thumbnail to my posts??? I can't find how.

That weapon looks incredibly impractical.
For your work to show up as a thumbnail in the forum list you need to attach it directly, not remote link it.

thanks, the thumbnail is there now :)

I think he doesn't have enough bruises and scratches on him to be a killer, he looks like a teddy bear with a sword atm.

He's the Prince of Persia: the weapons, the tats, the hood, the look. You can't draw a character and claim it your own...silly.

humm, I'd suggest you look closer at my work. The prince does not have tattos like that on his body, the reference was me (this actually looks like me), he only has one weapon and it really does not look like the princes, It's the very fist time I ever see the prince with a hooded cloak (I didn't know he wore hooded cloaks, and I'm a fan of the game!), and the pose his not necessary his, anyone can take that pose. Really, that's very offensing of you calling me a cheater. Seriously, how can you tell me I'm silly?

It's my Character and I claim it my own, and I'm not silly...

Prince of persia was the first thing that came to my mind but, maybe you came up with this character after playing the game alot? you subconsciously created a character very much like the prince....

man even if it is so it isn't a reason to write something like this...

imo it looks really good, I like his weapon but dislike the legs... on the first view it seems that his hand is his foot.
but anyways it looks cool.

but hey, why did you use a texture for his cap... you should have done this with some brushes and it would look more realistic than this.

keep it up dude.

For the texture, I tried with brushed before I used the texture. It looked better with the texture so I kept them.

I played all three prince of persia games. I'm a fan of these game and artwork. I was inspired by that game, but wanted to created my own character. I even thought it looked too much like the prince so, to fix that, I gave him a hooded cloak. But I just discovered that the prince wears that too!!
Thank you all.

I think that you need to work a little on the edges, actually the character seems a little "sticked" on the background. The right leg bother me a little: when a leg is so bend, the calf be pushed out from the leg biceps and the shinbone create a shadow. I can't see the encumbrance of the foot, just try to move a little the cloak. The hand holding the weapon need some more tendons, in my opinion.
I like the background, it's not easy create weaves. Usually i hate this kind of weapons (just personal taste) but it's well rendered. I like the blood, but i think that also the hands needs some splash: he is a killer. I also like the cloak, if you pay attention on some edges that seems really too sharp, you can do a nice piece.

Honestly, I don't understand why this bad kind of messages to this guy. Jordan, don't care, this is a really nice community and messages whitout rispect are unusal.

I agree with everuthing you said above. I'll post a reworked version soon, I'll use your comment to make it look better. Thanks.

after his message, I thought I would not post on CA again, but now I see that it was an exception. I'm new here, and I have to say that it's the place where you get the most helpful critics. and I have an account in 5 other art communities so I know what I'm talking about. lol. I'm not kidding about the 5 other communities.

I like the direction of this piece. A few problems that I see here (I'm no expert either):
Global light - the lighting sources need to be established and reflected on the objects.
Integration- the textures are good and the cloth shows weight, which is hard to accomplish, so kudos on that, but the objects don't seem to integrate together. You might include some wet portions of the cloth where the water hits it and mellow out some edges a bit. The blade seems off a bit, but can't quite place why.

Just my two cents.

One thing that niggles me is that I cant tell where or what the handle is. At first a first glance it looked as though he had a random blade resting on his chest. Then at a second glance I thought he had rope for a handle until I realized it was his brown fingers. So try finding a way of bringing out the handle?

Btw Im afraid I also thought prince of persia straight away. Still not to worry its quite easy to fall into the trap of repetition, the only thing you can really do is to keep ur eyes open and always aim for something unique.
