Well I continue my research for a project about China.
The previous way wasn't very funny so I tried another direction.

normally chinese human in cartoon form,their eyes is much smaller and sharper,so it make him more chinese feel.Ur design is cute~
may i ask u how u make the background?use what to make?coz i wanna apply those background on my artwork also

actually, the eyes are depicted bigger than they usually are in most chinese cartoons, not as huge as the japanese anime style but big non the less

Have you seen the movie? It's a great Chinese film. Great character designs too!

The period is the emperor Qin era, the first empire. So the kid has this haircut from that period.

I get inspiration from books and hong kong movies.

I've seen the Once upon a Time in China movies I like the 2 first ones the most. But I want to show a more ancient world which is I think more interesting, which great clothes, and legends.

I give it a cartoony style because I think we are all a little bored by free violence, dark moods, and I want a story with a lot of funny stuff and situations. Something light you can laugh at every moment :)
