Anyone know what the deal is with this site? Is there some special trick to registration? I realize they won't accept Hotmail & Yahoo email accounts, but they ban Comcast, too? I can't even get anyone there to answer a simple email.

Been on The StatueForum (http://www.statueforum.com) for years with a Hotmail account, no problem.
Maybe you're thinking 'The Clubhouse'? (http://theclubhouse1.net/) I dropped it when they stopped taking Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. "anonymous" addys; although I'd been a member for years there as well with never a problem - but again, no probs with Hotmail addys at the StatueForum.

Well, I used my private Comcast email to register, but never got the confirmation email to activate the account. Couldn't get a reply for help from the webmaster there, either. It's been frustrating.
UPDATE: Apparently, the emails to my Comcast address are not getting though. I tried a second registration after changing the first email address, but the confirmation/activation email never got through the second time, either. So I tried my anonymous Hotmail account and the confirmation/activation email appeared almost instantly. Now all I have to do is wait for the admin to do his thing. I would like to know why the Comcast email wouldn't work.

There is a whole hoast of possible reasons why Comcast didnt work. Timeouts, blocking or relayed messages, blacklists and so on. all of those could affect things. Your (or your server's) spam filter may have also blocked the reply from them. boil it all down... shit happens. I end up dealing with this on almost a daily basis.
