Greetings,

Lobstersoft is looking for an artist to improve an already
existing screen for our newest puzzle game Gemsweeper.

• Create an ancient, withered, atmospheric Mayan temple
• Improve our already existing game screen
• Use 2d or 3d as you wish

If you are interested, please send me a link to something
similar that you have already created. Also let me know about the
timeframe in which you could complete the job and how much
you would charge in USD. Thank you!

If you have any questions or need further information, just
drop me a line.

Best Regards,

Sandra Erb

Improve the visual appearance of Gemsweeper's main game screen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the current look of the screen
Here are some screenshots from other games. They have a similar
theme, but they really give the player the feeling to be in an
ancient, withered, atmospheric Mayan temple. We want the screen of
our game to be more like these games
A game named Keywords
http://www.lobstersoft.biz/temp/hsf/Keywords1.jpg
A game named Ouba
http://www.lobstersoft.biz/temp/hsf/Ouba01.jpg
http://www.lobstersoft.biz/temp/hsf/Ouba02.jpg
Some ideas
- jungle plants and colorful jungle flowers
- vines growing around the stones to make everything more 3-dimensional
(e.g.Ouba screenshot)
- stones with cracks and scratches
- more ornaments, different ornaments
- perhaps even some statues or statue heads
- lightning effects
- animations
All changes should be added to the current screen of the game, we
do not want to create a totally new screen.
If you work in 2D you'll get a photoshop document with several layers.
If you prefer 3D, you'll get a 3Ds Max scene, which you
can improve.
Hi,
If you are still looking for someone to do the temple, here is a sample of a temple I did for a school project:
It drew a lot of influences from other culture, and isn't entirely Mayan- but the base structure is heavily Mayan-inspired.
Hello Sandra,
I am really intrigued with this project. I have just finished a long freelancing project- illustrating for a factual children's book in Hing Kong- and would love to do something very different. I work 2D and have experience working with Photoshop.
I believe that I have the skill and passion you require.
