Hey all,

here is a speedpainting of a freeze frame from Batman Begins. I've posted the reference below it. This took me approximately 60 minutes. Any crits or comments are very much welcomed.

Thank you!

I think it looks great for a speed painting. Of course there are alot of blurred areas but I would assume that was due to the rush. I want to see what you can do when you take your time. This is very good.

You should try to use some more harder bruhes, to get some more edges! =)

just a bit blury looks like someone has put depth of field on it (looks nice tho)... needs more edges on some of the beams as it looks like they just smudged on and dnt really have much shape... its very good for a speed painting i can tell it would look much better if you took your time... good work... keep it up id like to see what its like when not rushed to say :)

StayTrue - thanks, i tried to keep the background slightly more blurred to convey depth, perhaps i should sharpen up the foreground then eh?

WolfBane - I agree that it looks a bit too blurry. Perhaps progressively get blurry as we move into the background of the image, although i did not use any soft brushes, all hard edged, but used at low flow rate. hmmmm....

AndyStone - Good call on the beams....i figured they kinda looked like hard flat shapes in the reference, but perhaps a little more attention should be paid...but you have the idea i was going for, blurring into background gives it depth, i think i did that too much.

Thanks all, anything else? I'll repost a quick revision with attention to the harder edges.
