I guess this is my first picture posted here in this great forum.
I start off with a PS-painting I did recently.
It's a conceptual design of some old wise man. It's for a project I am currently doing designs for.
Hope you like him:

Nice you liked it.
TOPO: Hehe. True, I didn't think about that.
sepulveda: Thanks! Btw; what's up with the galleries at your home page? Not there?
MolvaDo: Ah, my home page. Haven't added any work there for more than a year. The animations are more than three years old. Good to hear you liked them anyway. Time to update it.... :)

In the future, if you're going to rip something from Kruger, or any other artist for that matter and take credit for it, please give that artist credit for the style and concept.
As far as the piece is concerned:
Even with stylized work it's important to maintain a strong underlying structure. Try working out your major forms and shapes in the entire piece before going into detail anywhere. There are just a few insertion points, such as the ears, that are working against the overall structure and perspective. They appear to be coming out of the face from the area right behind the cheeks, which is causing a loss of any sort of jaw line.
The scroll is the strongest part of this piece because of the looseness. It shows a confidence that the face isn't achieving. The face tends to look over-worked in most areas and it's getting muddy.

What a strange reply....
Did Krüger ever copyright his style?
Or did Disney ever copyright the classical animation style every other studio is copying nowadays?
Actually, the truth is it just turned out like this as I went along - not thinking about SK at all.
But I do see the resemblence.
Sorry about that.

No, I guess it's more of just a common courtesy to credit another artist if their work has had a very strong influence on something that you're taking credit for.
I guess that's just my opinion though.
It just seems that the digital age has made the work of lesser known artists more accessible to the mass populi. And with that accessibility we're seeing more blatant "copying" (and I'm not saying that you copied this, I just thought there was some influence there).
Having said that, I think now more than ever it's becoming a responsibility to credit someone if you're going to use their style as a reference.
If you didn't use SK reference for this, than I apologize for posting my reply..forget I said anything.
By the way, you have some very nice work on your site. Keep it up man. Sorry to offend.

No harm done.
For your other comments (better late than never). Good to hear, but to excuse myself a little bit; it is indeed a very dark painting. If you bother turning up the brightness slightly you'll see a bit more. I noticed this on another computer, that's why I mention it. Lame, but true. Maybe I should adjust my brightness.... :)
This was also my very first PS7 painting. I never had time to get used to the new and different brushes. That's why it could look a bit muddy.
About copying; it seems like everyone is getting inspired by somebody else nowadays. Who's not copying Mullins for example?
Anyway; as I mentioned I never had SK in mind. It just turned out like that....
