After a lot of lurking I decided to dive in. Hi! :)
This was inspired for the Winged Healer Creature of the Week. Obviously it wasn't finished in time for that (probably for the best :P ) but I liked it enough to continue work on it. Hopefully I'll have time to get it finished in a few days.
The idea behind it is a future decendant of a spider - either natural or genetically modifed, but probably a bit of both. It exists in a globally warmed future where technology is more limited and so more use is made of plants and animals that seem spookily adapted to the job. the bandage fly weaves it's silk into streamers to catch small insects - a natural flypaper if you will. People collect these streamers because they make excellent first aid bandages, being make of strong absorbant silk slightly sticky (making them self adhesive). In addition the Bandagefly's venom is an effective aneasthetic. All in all a handy critter to have around if you have a chance of getting wounded.
