hello I'm a new member to CA, i migrated over from DA because i felt i wouldn't get much better if i stayed there. so i come to you and implore your help. These are just some starting sketches for pieces i intend to fix up and color (except for the study picture, i just wanted to do some realism)

i apologize for the so-so quality, i have to use a digital camera, and i edited them as much as I could possibly could without botching up the picture.

a simple study, kudos to anyone who can recodnize the dude on the bottom left. i severly dislike how the guy on bottom right turned out.

This was a little exercize for my comic. "you can tell alot about a person by how they sit" I wanted to hear how i could make this better before i started to ink/color this.

doodle i started whilst listening to "devil's dance floor" by flogging molly. i can't think of a good background that would go with the song. any suggestions appreciated!

Hey, this is a better start for a sketchbook than I had. Good work, btw I'm betting the lower-lefthand man is Leon from Resident Evil the game. ^_^

I like the group picture best, it looks like you just need to fine tune your work a little bit.

One thing I noticed though is that it looks like you're using the "finger smudge" technique, while handy for some things I wouldn't use it for shadowing a face. Try to get enough control over the pencil that you can generate shadows without smudging.

Keep going, I like this so far.

yay! my people are identifyable.

thanks ^_^ i like that one too, yeah, the lines got SO messed up when i took the picture D: i tried to edit it, but it was a little wonky.

Yup, you're right, i did use the finger smudge. I agree, it looks really off. i'm gonna try re-shading that.

more sketches by me.

i did this to a poem i wrote. it's just a sketch, so it's a little messy.

if you can't read the words, it reads

even when the world is dark,
and all the world,
is bite and bark
Know that when you look up to the sky to blue
know that someone,
Will come save you.

and a doodle i did for my character Faolan.
