Welcome to CA. Very awesome characters, I used to have friend that had a very similar style to yours. Got a great eye for figure I see and anatomy as well. Keep up the good work, would love to see some finished pieces.

Nice update. Cant believe no one else has commented yet, try and go out and crit others works as well. Not just the awesome artists but the artists that need help, because they will appreciate your thoughts and give some in return. This last piece is really cool, would like to see more rendering to it.

I like your figures, they're not static and have a good sense of weight about them. Keep postin!

March 25th, 2007, 10:05 AM
Nice, very dynamic figures. Have you ever tried shading?
costas
March 25th, 2007, 10:31 AM
nice characters... but I should agree with Troll Skelking... you need to shade them... if you do that, they'll be just great... keep up the good work...

Looking flowing!
Maybe try and see what you can do with the line weights - right now they seem pretty thin/random.

the concepts are really nice but i think that you should always add lightin and shadow to pictures so you see how they look with so sort of world around them

Hey thanks for checking out my sb!
Your work is awesome! The rendering style of lots of directional lines of different weight and density really defines your forms nicely! That last one of the woman kneeling - while the pose seems awfully hard to hold (keeping so upright while squatting) it looks incredibly well done. Especially around the anatomy of the knees which are kind of the focal point of that piece. Nicely done.
It would be cool to see more finished pieces if you have any...

Thanks for stopping by and the good words too all of you guys!
Actually there are no traditional media pieces in my sb. I feel pretty comfortable with the pc (it is cleaner etc.) so when I draw at home I prefer to use it instead of anything else.
And yeah I am 20 right now and I feel kinda old but it can't be helped:(
I will post some more sketches soon so stay tuned :)
Thanks again for visiting !

smid this is a good start! nice sketches man and your shading looks good also. just watch your proportions on a couple things. The last post of the lady looks great but her head looks off to me. The head might be too high up and she doesn't seem to have much of a hairline. face seems just a little to oval also, it could use more shape.
Other then that, there is really cool work here. Keep it coming:)

Hi smid, thanks for dropping by my sb.
You have really solid stuff here. I can see both your traditional and digital study have merged quite well, love the guy with blue armor in the lasted post, great texturing. Just keep it up, and study anatomy more, I am sure you'll be superb soon.

Pretty neat stuff. Your painting abilities are beyond discussion, and you can render in b/w nicely. I don't know, as you don't show much, but I could take the risk of saying that you are not confortable enough with the figure. Don't get me wrong, everything looks quite proportioned, but most of the time seems like you didn't want to get into that stuff.
Anyway, great job, I'd like to see more.

Very good work!Your color is getting better and better! My only crit is that your characters looks like brothers or cousins...they all have the same face!So try to change it!

Thank you for the kind words guys! I really appreciate your comments and crits!
Lennon - you have right
Camara - well they are not really the same but it is true that they have some similar facial features
Mattinian - soulsurvivor told me that someone said about similarities between us but we both agreed that it's not true haha. But with that last character I can clearly see that vibe you're talking about. Guess it's true after all but I just can't help it, that's what comes ot of my hand :)
