I keep a doodle/sketch sheet always at hand... every day more nonsensical stuff is put down on paper...time to share it with an unsuspecting world?...LOL

Rico-xx, do you draw using only imagination? Or do you have some references? How many time do you need to draw a single picture? Thanks :)

Cashmere... all these doodles are from imagination only and drawn straight with various pens... no pencils, no corrections, no safety net. The way it works is that I always keep a few A4 sheets of paper lying next to my ket\yboard/tablet and when I do stuff that takes a bit of waiting (like printing or saving large files) I doodle/sketch away anything that comes into my mind ... I kinda like what comes out when the end product doesn't matter and it retains a fresh/raw ness... kinda freestylin' with a fineliner :-)
BTW: I work as professional cartoonist... that's where the quirky/weird style comes from... my life drawing is actually shocking at the moment... I am actually contemplating joining some life drawing art classes just to get back to basics.

Man I love these. You say your a professional cartoonist?(Sorry if I read that wrong, long day at work) Is your worked published anywhere we can check out?:D

I love these, I really do. Very funny and creative.

Did you go to school for it, how did you get into the business?

(Eeps sorry for 21 questions, I got an interview today about driving, and it kinda sucks to be in an interview.*Shakes fist*)

Don't mind the questions (at least someone is looking at my stuff :D )

You can see variety of stuff here Toucan Comics (http://www.geocities.com/toucan_comics) and here's an online comic strip I draw called Vern & Dern (http://www.vern-dern.com) and also have an online sci-fi horror comic story called An Ordinary Day published by Komikwerks (http://www.komikwerks.com) ... and I also draw a syndicated cartoon based in SA called Madam & Eve (http://www.madamandeve.co.za) .... that'll give you an idea ;)

How to get into the business where you are I have no idea... I live and work out of Johannesburg, South Africa.

dont know why i havent looked in this thread b4,these r very fresh and new,not the usual kinda stuff that gets posted around here,6th page with the collage of head/figures/animals is my fave here...
this style looks fitting for 'MAD' magazine mate, there great, style helps deliver the humour yer portraying, and your very loose and confident with an ink pen which is a real bitch to use right....

keep posting man
