There's probably a slight taste of Bengal here. Trying to 'finish' images more lately.

For this one I wanted something that felt really comfortable and cozy, but refreshing. Hopefully that translates.

and these two are deeply inspired by a lot of the stuff that's been going on in the Sijun speed painting thread (god bless it)

And shouts out to Hamilton (http://www.hamiltondraws.com) who was kind enough to host these images for me.

MM.. very nice! In the third pic you could define the ninja's head more, the first time I saw it, it looked like the Ninja was leaning backwards facing the moon.

I must see these other paintings. I love this style! So crisp but strong and the the colours give it so much theme.

I will be doing some art in this style next time I have a chance to paint.

Great stuff, I like the first and third. The third image has a lot of story/action in it. First one has great feel, as you described. The second one is good too, very "spooge demon-capt flushgarden-pierre-speedpainting" kind of look. :P But I think your own voice is cooler in a way.

The first-one is perfect! The last one makes me want to play Onimusha for some reason.

Ben Shore - thanks, compositions have been the biggest struggle for me so far.

Roam - hmm, interesting, have to give that a shot

otherside - I would love to see what you do (an interpretation of whatever the hell I'm doing would be very interesting)

Ant4d - thanks, I've seen you around too, glad this stuff works

Francis - heh, I think we're all better off as soon as we just accept that mullins and the capt'n exsist, that we should just bask and enjoy, and that we don't have to be them. Just do what we do, learn as much as we can etc.. plus it helps us to avoid the agony of trying a 'spooge' style and falling so so terribly short.

Redmond - haha, well if it inspires you to play a video game, it looks like half the battle is won (if I want to be a game illustrator), thanks

enoc - thanks mate

sepulveda - thanks, I think I'm going to leave it as is. I may come back to it and rework it on a 'finished' level (whatever that means). I'm a big fan of fast, uncompleted work though, so I like to make as much of it as I can get away with.

bengal - not sure if this will translate properly, but: que je , Bengal, que je

Isric,

All three are really well-composed, but the first is just excellent...I love the plumpness of her right breast. It's bengal-esque without being a bengal-copy. The crisp lineart is a nice contrast to bengal's loose pencil style.

Good work all around.

isric>> leviathan is right : you have your very own control over the line and this has no price!! that's great!
by the way, what did you want to say 'que je'? 'que je' means exactly 'that i'! better tell me in english :)
and i'll be thinking seriously about a possible work ; i'll ask soon my publisher how it could work from another country. my own scenarist could even help. anyway, start thinking about what you would like us to tell!
keep it like this!

done and done bengal. I've got a few ideas already. Let me know how things go with that.
I was actually trying to say 'that I do'. But, I don't really know much french so I just ran it through a translator (those things never work and probably won't for another 5 years at least).
Thanks for the encouragement too by the way.

And thanks leviathan, that means a lot to me.
