I did this quick painting over the last couple of days, and used some in-progress images to create a step-by-step page. If anyone is interested, it can be found here:

Nice! I kinda liked the black Napoleon hat. It's cool to see the process, he started out way different! Thanks for that.

Ever since I was in high school I've been watching you. It's so cool to see how you're progressing and experimenting. I really like the treatment of this. You handled the 'fade into silouette' thing perfectly.
a very undenyably 'francis' image, as always. never ever stop.

Dustin - hehe, thanks. I liked the hat for a few minutes, then it started to look kinda dumb.
JPeckham - yeah I think it's possible to do a lot of things right in the box. For me though, there are some things which can only be done with pencil and paper. Not enough fine control with the wacom yet.
Jon Hughes - cool, I'm very glad to hear that.
Jnorish - thanks man, no prob.
Isric - thank you from the bottom of my heart. I've been watching your stuff for a long time as well, you can't stop either!
michael see - thank you!
Cicinimo - thank you, I think the design isn't very deep though...
vegetasonac - thanks, yeah Brom is definitely an influence lately.
3bleadpencil - yeah no prob! It is kind of educational in a way to write up your own process - makes you think more clearly about what you are doing.
Ant4D - thanks, but no, you DA MAN.

There's a lot of unfamiliar/odd shapes. The figure is still readable though. I feel the mechanical part of the head doesn't really support the shape of the organic upper head.
Red is a difficult color to render.

my first reaction for this piece is that I liked it, and eventhough I'm trying to find something, I don't have a crit.

Im very impressed with your tutorial and the finished piece. It's nice to see someone actually giving their thought process, as they work. Nice style, with the unreal colors standing out so well, hats off.
