Quick question-- Is the photoshop (and illustrator) version that's included with Indesign the same you would get when buying ps alone? I'm wondering if I can buy Indesign and only use photoshop...

Where does it say Indesign contains Photoshop or Illustrator? Is this part of a 3rd party bundle?

He probably means the creative suite. As far as I know, it's exactly the same; buying the entire suite is just a better deal than buying each title separately. But if you don't plan on using InDesign or GoLive, it's better to just get Photoshop and Illustrator on their own.

Lordofthebling is right...the CS2 suite is just cheaper....though if your after just photoshop, and not illustrator or indesign, I don't know why you would buy the whole CS2...your call though...
you can also get a photoshop cs3 beta to try...if your feeling frisky. We demo'd it at my production confrence this year. Some cool improvements and new tools but nothing too crazy. Better support for intel macs though.....
cheers

Yeah I meant the creative suite-- still familiarizing myself with the current products.
Thanks for the replies!
