Im using a 6x8 intous2 wacom tablet. It works beautifully, and takes a week or two to get used to it, but you wont put it down once you've started.
I don't recommend getting something smaller, cuz I've heard people complain about there size, and besides, those things look to freakin small to draw on. !:o

I know some people use a 9x 12 or even bigger sizes. I bet those are great as well, but have never tried them. I suggest going to fry's or some cool computer store and trying em out.

They're great! :)

It´s part personal taste and part necessity. If you´re used to work in small formats with much movement from the fingers an A5 would be fine and enough for you. I´m used to work at least A4, doing preferably my lifesketches in A3 or better A2 so I´m working more out of the arm and so an A$-Tablet is o.k. for me.

Maybe try http://www.preissuchmaschine.at

I bought the Aiptek 6 x 9. Doesn't seem too bad. Since I don't use it allllll the time, the price works for me. Then when I really need a good one, it'll pay for itself. It works really well, has a good amount of pressure levels, but doesn't have an erasure on the end.

That's the right way to think!

If you are used to drawing on A4s then that's the size to get, but remember to get the active surface at A4, not A4 with the edges and all.

That's how I thought when I first bought mine, years ago.
And I'm super happy with it. Also be sure that you get one that has high resolution too, with all the cool functions and stuff.

Don't go cheap, because you get so much more out of the "pro" wacoms.

Hope this helped.
