New Guy Here - brushing up on my digital painting (lol i slay me)

i've been working on painting in painter 7 without having lineart over top of the colors. here's what i've come up with thus far:
inspired by pirates of the carribean (if you haven't seen it, see it NOW.) no lineart used.

edward scissorhands (another movie you should see, if for some reason, you haven't.) started out as a drawing by me and i just painted over the lines so they're gone.

I like the way you did the teeth on the first one, but im not really feeling edward scissor hands, I mean if he had scissors for hands why didnt he ever get a haircut?

i think you need to work on getting the proportions correct, and just draw more in general. like, edward's head looks alittle fat.

i did an edward sishands one too a while ago.
