Excellent stuff... the colours work very well... like the concept of top alien... developing the idea of techno-organic creatures always fascinating.

Wow, thanks for all the great feedback guys! Really appreciate it. I tried to experiment with some different color combos with these. I am putting together a CD of some of my works to show for employment opportunities. I figured this site is the best place to get some feedback. Will be posting more stuff soon.

very well done
i was wondering what brush you are using in painter8
i've been experimenting with a brush that does good "smooth" results.

Thanks for all the compliments. I am glad you guys dig the designs. good feedbacks from fellow artists. davi, I am constantly experimenting with different brushes to see which ones give me the results I want. The thing I don't like about Painter 8 is the missing custom palette which would let you create your own combo of brushes and have them all in one palette. Now they have the brush tracker which I am not a fan of.
As for brushes used on these pieces:
-Oils: Round Camelhair for blocking base colors
-Charcoal: soft charcoal 7 (or smaller) and Dull Charcoal 7
(or smaller) for shading and adding texture
-Airbrush: Digital Airbrush for general toning
-Artists brushes: Seurat for adding skin texture. If you
change the size on Seurat, you can add blotches and color
variation which creates a more interesting skin.
Just out of curiosity, which brushes do you get smooth results with davi?
