Your characters are looking good. I would try to put some more contrast into the coloring.... also, all of your character's faces seem very similar, I might suggest getting a magazine or newspaper and just drawing many different faces from them so that you can start visualizing different types of heads and faces.

thnx for the suggestions and comments. i just started using markers. the four pieces you see here are the first four pieces i've rendered...still trying to figure out good skin tone variations. as they are now...they all have perfect sun tans.
i guess i'll have to look into making the figures a bit more dynamic. i actually thought that the line of action was looking good.
muttonhead...i'm from syracuse, too!

looks like you've got an amazing handle on a lot of areas. Some good concepts. Now all you have to do it tighten up your anatomy a bit and you're laughing.

this is obviously unfinished. i'm still working on the lighting, correcting perspective/anatomy and adding some gadgets on the body suit. that under glow is from a cool forearm lcd which is obviously not in yet.

hmm i think the hippopotamus turned out quite nicely. I think the cell shading works well. I also like the lighting you pulled off on the spy girl, that would be a nice one to take further methinks.

a hybrid cross between angelina jolie and claire forlani. i felt kinda bad picking and choosing facial features for this one. oh well...

one of my weapon designs. i wanted something modular that could be converted into a carbine rifle. powerful but easy to carry...and of course sexy as hell. designed specifically for the female character above. can you say "MICRO SUBSONIC AMMUNITION"...hehe. :D

is this the gorilla 777 daily sketch forum? I tot this the FINALLY FINISHED section. U r basically dumping in whatever u had done into this thread.........
I think the shrimp like monster is quite nice and creative and can be considered the "good stuff" u said u had posted, but other than that...........

there's no problem in posting a lot of artworks, from the moment these are considered finished by its author.
but please, indeed, try creating a new thread into the wip section if you feel you have a lot of concepts that need more work and advices.
it's a fact, it's always a pleasure to wander around the "it's finally finished section" and see the best of artists in no time. adding a lot of sketches will probably reduce the effect, ... even for the best artists out there.

i'm trying to vary the work i'm posting so that people don't get too bored. i'll be posting more technical/diagrammatic stuff for the next week or so. as always, c&c are welcome. enjoy.

by the way this will be an ongoing thread...i would feel bad cluttering the forum with multiple posts and would much rather update this thread with my work every week. i sincerely hope this is okay with all of you...

nice design work on the helmet
although i do think you need to to try to get some more contrast in ur painting. Try using harder brushes for instance which show the strokes alittle more. I think that might help add depth.
röck on ^^
